I am half Georgian and half American, but grew up mostly in the UK, where I previously studied for a BA in History at Somerville College, Oxford, graduating in 2022. Since then, I spent a few months living in Tbilisi, working at IDFI researching Soviet repression compensation schemes. My research interests centre around early 20th century Georgian identity and self-fashioning, through the prism of Western focused diplomacy. More broadly I am interested in exploring themes of identity and nationality throughout the wider region.
