Emily Tamkin

Studying at REES changed the way in which I look at the world, and in particular this part of the world. The professors and fellow students challenged my preconceptions at every point in the course, and I still feel lucky that they did so. My thesis research, conducted in archives and through interviews, better prepared me for work as a journalist; my deeper understanding of the region better prepared me to be a person alive in the world.
