Prior to my studies at Oxford, I completed a Master’s in Global Conflict in the Modern Era at Leiden University and hold a Bachelor’s in International Relations and Social Sciences. With my Russian-German heritage and experience living and studying in Russia and Latvia, I look forward to academically exploring the dynamics of the region. My research interests focus on the emergence, prevention, and resolution of conflicts in post-Soviet states. I am particularly intrigued by democratization processes, the role of authoritarianism, and Russian foreign policy, especially in relation to conflict dynamics and the impact of threat perception among various groups, including the Russian diaspora.
