Leigh read chemistry at Wadham and Jesus and is a keen linguist. He took up Georgian language classes with Lia in November 2019. His initial involvement with the translation project drew on his editorial role with a large international publisher and he has edited several of the group’s English translations. Recently he has translated works by various contemporary poets and currently he is exploring Aka Morchiladze’s Santa Esperanza, as part of the project’s latest collaborative translation.
