As College Dean and Associate Professor of Russian and Eurasian Political Economy, Professor Gerry can offer us multiple unique perspectives on our current times. He will begin by recounting, from his perspective as Dean, the extraordinary period, unprecedented in its history, that the College has been through and how student life has adapted. He will then go on to discuss how Covid-19 has affected the Russian economy and society.
The event will be moderated by Antonian Dr Gregg Robins (MPhil in Russian and East European Studies, 1989). He is the founder of Robins Advising, and has enjoyed a fascinating career in business and finance centred on Russia.
The Warden of St Antony’s, Professor Roger Goodman, will also be present and will give a short update on life at the College during the lockdown and on the Hilda Besse project.
