Dr Oscar Sanchez-Sibony is assistant professor at the Department of History in the University of Hong Kong. He is author of the award-winning book Red Globalization: The Political Economy of the Soviet Cold War from Stalin to Khrushchev, published by Cambridge University Press. He received his PhD in Russian history from the University of Chicago. At HKU he teaches courses on Russian and global history, often tracking the global cultural developments of music.
