In Rome, the Dante Alighieri Society awarded Prof. David Maziashvili, Georgian Fellow at REES, University of Oxford (2019-2020) with Dante Alighieri Gold Medal and Honorary Diploma for staging Contemporary Ballet "Beatrice".
A new multimedia album about original, Georgian contemporary production Beatrice was published in Tbilisi, Georgia by the Author of the Idea, Concept, Compiler and Editor of the Album Prof. David Maziashvili.
The main concept, innovative nature and contemporary vision of Prof. Maziashvili’s new project – multimedia album “Beatrice” - lie in uniting visual presentation of choreographer Mariam Aleksidze’s contemporary ballet “Beatrice” - original photo and video, original music score by Maestro Marianelli of the contemporary ballet “Beatrice”, and specially written scientific paper - Dante 700 – Beatrice on the Georgian Stage by Prof. David Maziashvili.
Special Edition of the Album will be sent to the leading libraries and educational-research centers in Georgia, Italy, France, and UK etc.
On October 25, the presentation of the Multimedia Album “Beatrice” was held at the Dante Alighieri Society in Rome. After the presentation the Dante Alighieri Society awarded Prof. David Maziashvili - author of the idea and concept, choreographer Mariam Aleksidze and composer Dario Marianelli with Dante Alighieri Gold Medals and Honorary Diplomas for staging the contemporary ballet "Beatrice".
