'20 Years of Putin' Conference great success

On 9th December, REES welcomed a rich array of Russian scholars to reflect on “20 Years of Putin: How Has Russia Changed?”  The day-long conference covered trends in the economy, political system and international relations under Vladimir Putin. It included talks by Natalia Orlova (Chief economist of Alfa Bank); Yulia Vymyatnina (Head of Economics, European University St. Petersburg); Boris Makarenko (Higher School of Economics, Moscow); Nikolai Petrov (Chatham House), and Sergey Utkin (Institute of World Economy and International Relations). The day finished with a fascinating discussion of future developments under Putin and beyond.
