I am from the West Midlands, United Kingdom, and hold a BA in History and Politics from the University of Warwick. My research interests focus on Russian foreign and domestic policy towards post-Soviet separatist states and the role of civic and ethnic nationalism within these states. A specific research interest involves evaluating the existence of a distinct Transnistrian ‘nation’ and testing the permissibility of self-determination for the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR) as a potential solution to its unsettled political conflict. Alongside my studies, I lead the Europinion Group, a media collective fostering open political dialogue through journalism, research, and documentary production.
