Han Xiao

Han XIAO is a PhD candidate of Country and Area Studies at Peking University. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mongolian Language and Literature from Peking University and a Master's Degree in International Area Studies (focusing on Northeastern Asia) from Seoul National University. Her academic interests focus on Mongolian studies, especially Mongolia's national strategy. In her current research, Han examines the course of Mongolian identity construction in modern days and further its impacts on strategic behaviors of the state.
Han is visiting REES during the 2024–25 academic year with the financial support of the China Scholarship Council. She is studying and conducting research under Dr. Zbigniew Wojnowski's supervision while at the University of Oxford.
