I was born in Poland but have spent most of my life in Brittany, France. Prior to Oxford, I completed a BA in Polish Studies at the Sorbonne. My academic path, including internships at CNRS and as a fellow member of the Institut d’Études Slaves (Paris), has focused on how shared and competitive traumatic memories shape relationships among Central and Eastern European countries. My research interests include exile trajectories, borders, political violence, and the impact of conflicts on identity, social practices, and cultural transfers. I also enjoy translating Polish literature into French, especially the works of the Nobelist Czesław Miłosz.
