Dr Shuhei Mizoguchi

Dr. Shuhei Mizoguchi is a political scientist specializing in the post-Soviet politics and a Professor at Hosei University in Tokyo. He earned his Ph.D from the University of Tokyo and has held positions at the Canon Institute of Global Studies, the University of Tokyo, and Chukyo University.
Dr. Mizoguchi has been conducting research on constitutional changes and legitimation strategies in post-Soviet authoritarian regimes. As an Academic Visitor, he will be analyzing the personalization of Russia’s political regime and its effects on domestic and international politics.
