Dr Nataliya Kibita is a scholar of 20th century Ukrainian history and institutional change. She holds a bachelor's degree from the Ostroh Academy (Ukraine) and MA and PhD degrees from the University of Geneva (Switzerland). She has taught at LSE, the University of Edinburgh and the University of Glasgow. Since 2019, she has been a research fellow at the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute, the University of Edinburgh and the University of Glasgow.

At REES, Dr Kibita is studying capitalism in the Ukrainian lands, the spread of Marxism-Leninism and the transition of Ukraine from capitalism to socialism at the beginning of the 20th century.
