Jarosław Kuisz is an Associate of Russian and East European Studies (REES) at the Oxford University School for Global and Area Studies (University of Oxford). He is an Editor-in-Chief of the Polish online intellectual weekly Kultura Liberalna, Senior Fellow and Program Director for Liberal Democracy at the Zentrum Liberale Moderne in Berlin; Assistant Professor of Global Legal History at the University of Warsaw, associated with L'Institut d'Histoire du Temps Présent, CNRS in Paris.
His book “The new politics of Poland. A case of post-traumatic sovereignty” (Manchester University Press) was ranked among the best books of 2024, according to “Foreign Affairs”. In the last co-written book “The Posttraumatic Sovereignty” (two editions: Suhrkamp, 2023; Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung, Bonn 2024) Kuisz focused on the history of Eastern Europe in the 20-21th century. He is currently writing a book on a populism, post-populism and history for the Suhrkamp publishing house (to be published in 2025).
