Dr Irina Demetradze-Renz received her Ph.D. in Archaeology at Ilia State University, Tbilisi, Georgia in 2014. Her research interests lie in the fields of Landscape Archaeology, Settlement Archaeology, and Roman Archaeology. She is an Assistant Professor at the School of Arts and Sciences, Ilia State University. Dr. Demetradze-Renz was a William Fulbright Scholar at the Department of Classics at University of California, Berkeley. In February 2017 she joined the SIAS Georgian Program. Her current research project is about Roman social and religious structures in the Southern Caucasus. She is an author of several publications on pipeline archaeology in Georgia, and Greek imports and Roman settlement patterns in Caucasus Iberia.
