I am a PhD candidate at the Department of Area Studies in Middle East Technical University (METU) and research assistant in Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University, Turkey. In my M.A. thesis at the Department of Eurasian Studies (METU), I studied Crimean Tatars, their national movement through their publications in diaspora. I am currently conducting my postgraduate research on a comparative perspective about Muslim minorities in Georgia and Bulgaria. As part of research teams, I participated in several fieldworks in Ajaria, Tbilisi and around, in Georgia in 2015 and 2017, and individually in Crimea (Ukraine) in 2013, Georgia and Bulgaria in 2018.
