Ollie Matthews took up Georgian lessons whilst reading French and Russian at Jesus College, Oxford. He has been a member of the Oxford Georgian Translation Project since its inception. His translations have appeared in Unlocking the Door (Cezanne, 2017) and Stories from Saba: Selected Tales from The Book of Wisdom and Lies (Cezanne, 2023). He is one of the translators of Goderdzi Chokheli’s Human Sadness, and is currently working on Aka Morchiladze’s Santa Esperanza.
Ollie lives in Manchester and works full-time trying to balance employment with creative pursuits such as creative writing and a YouTube channel.
